The new CAELinux 2009 is now based on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 64bit (AMD64 or Intel x64) and a unique suite of open source simulation tools like Salome_Meca 2009, Code-Aster 9.4, Code-Saturne 1.4, OpenFOAM 1.5 and many others, CAELinux 2009 represents a huge jump in performance, modern hardware support and ease of use, and we hope that you will enjoy it. This release is only available in the form of an liveDVD ISO image that can be burned on a DVD, installed on a USB key and then installed on hard-disk for best performance.
